On January 20, 2026, at the Indonesian compound fertilizer production line site, technicians were performing leveling and pipeline connection on the drum granulator and extrusion granulator after their placement. This is a customized compound fertilizer production line delivered by our company to an Indonesian client, employing a dual-line parallel design of “drum granulation + extrusion granulation,” capable of simultaneously meeting the large-scale production needs of organic-inorganic compound fertilizer and extruded granulated fertilizer.

Project Background: Indonesian Compound Fertilizer Demand Continues to Rise
Indonesia is the world’s fourth most populous country, with agriculture supporting the livelihoods of approximately 30% of its population. The planting area of core crops such as rice, palm oil, and rubber continues to expand. However, Indonesia’s domestic compound fertilizer production capacity has long been insufficient, with NPK compound fertilizer heavily reliant on imports. In recent years, the Indonesian government has vigorously promoted agricultural self-sufficiency and the localization of fertilizer production capacity, with several NPK compound fertilizer projects successively starting construction or expanding production. Against this backdrop, this Indonesian agricultural company introduced a complete set of compound fertilizer production line equipment from China, aiming to replace some imported fertilizers with localized production and reduce planting costs.
On-site Equipment: Dual Lines in Parallel, Balancing Product Diversity
Located in Kalimantan, Indonesia, this production line features an integrated layout, with both the drum granulation line and the extrusion granulation line sharing the same workshop. On-site, the drum granulator is already installed, and the supporting multi-stage belt conveyors, automatic batching system, and double roller extrusion granulator are also under installation. The drum granulator utilizes the rolling and agglomeration of materials within the drum to produce round and uniform compound fertilizer granules; the extrusion granulator uses double rollers under high pressure to press low-moisture materials into shape, suitable for processing formulations that are difficult to granulate using wet methods. The two lines complement each other, allowing customers to flexibly switch product types according to market demand. The entire line is equipped with a high-efficiency dust removal and exhaust gas treatment system, meeting local Indonesian environmental standards.

Installation Progress: Collaborative Progress by Chinese and Indonesian Teams
At the installation site, our Chinese technical team and local Indonesian construction personnel are working together, strictly adhering to export standards and process requirements from foundation positioning and equipment leveling to pipeline connections. Safety railings and multi-level operating platforms are in place, and the equipment layout is compact and uniform in color. After installation, Chinese engineers will provide systematic training to the client’s operators to ensure the production line operates independently, safely, and efficiently.
Project Significance: From Equipment Export to Production Capacity Implementation
Once this production line is operational, it will significantly enhance the client’s compound fertilizer supply capacity in Kalimantan and surrounding areas, reduce long-distance raw material transportation costs, and provide a stable fertilizer guarantee for local rice, palm, and rubber plantations. For Indonesia, the implementation of each localized compound fertilizer production line represents a substantial step towards the goal of self-sufficiency in fertilizer supply.
